2010 AFC Championship Game: New York Jets at Pittsburgh Steelers

Location: Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA
Time: 6:30 pm
Road Team: New York Jets
Home Team: 2010 AFC North Champions Pittsburgh Steelers
W-L Records: Jets 11-5, Steelers 12-4
Points Scored: Jets 22.9, Steelers 23.4
Points Allowed: Jets 19, Steelers 14.5

How the Jets will win: The Jets have managed to beat the two best QBs in the world (Peyton Manning & Tom Brady) so far in this year's playoff. They face a different test in Ben Roethlisberger. In Manning and Brady, you have two guys who if the defense can get them, they are going down. That is not the case with Roethlisberger. Big Ben is a QB that is built like a linebacker. If the Jets get to him, THEY HAVE TO BRING HIM DOWN. Not doing so usually results in big plays for the Steelers. On offense, the Jets will face their toughest defense yet so far in these playoffs. Look for the Jets to hammer away with the running game (like they did in their Week 15 win over Pittsburgh). This could be a game of FGs so Nick Folk needs to be on point, especially in what is probably the toughest place to kick FGs, Heinz Field

How the Steelers will win: In their Week 15 loss to the Jets, the Steelers were missing safety Troy Polamalu. Not the case today. Look for Polamalu to be all over the field and cause havoc. On offense, the Steelers would be helped if Rashard Mendenhall. While Big Ben can stand in and take hits from the Jets defense, you don't want the guy turning into a test dummy. If Mendenhall can give the Steelers anything productive, it will only help out Big Ben even more.

The Pick: No Polamalu in Week 15 meant a loss for the Steelers to the Jets. With Polamalu in today, it will be another Super Bowl appearance for the Steelers. Steelers 24, Jets 14
