Mets starting pitching options

Via Jason A. Churchill of ESPN...

The Mets have already been linked to Jeff FrancisChris Young and Freddy Garcia, but GM Sandy Alderson could also have interest in right-handers Kevin Millwood and Jeremy Bonderman, as well as southpaws Bruce Chen and Chris CapuanoBrad Penny is also still available and would be a great fit, if healthy, behind Mike Pelfrey and a healthy Johan Santana.
Right-hander David Bush is also available, as is left-hander Doug Davis. If the Rays are serious about shopping Matt Garza, the Mets might be interested, but the asking price appears to be too steep for most clubs, at least to this point of the winter.
Garcia has also drawn interest from the Yankees, and Francis has a handful of teams showing interest. Capuano recently broke off talks with the Brewers, perhaps because the club wanted him back as a reliever and the veteran wants to remain a starter.

The Mets go into the 2011 season with Mike Pelfrey, Jonathon Niese and R.A. Dickey penciled in so far for their starting rotation as they wait for Johan Santana until possibly the All Star break.  With question regarding whether youngster Jenrry Mejia will be a starter or reliever next season, the Mets may need to add at least 2 starters to whether the storm until Santana can rejoin the rotation.  All of the pitchers above have questions abound in terms of past injuries and poor performances last season so any.  Do you pick up one of these guys and insert Mejia into the 5th slot?  Where does Oliver Perez fall in all this?
